Promises are just words
Words are always words
Future will definitely change
past promises
Present promises will definitely turn
Vice versa in future
Don’t take promises from others
with your dreams & hopes
It will make you
dreamless & hopeless.
Promises are a weapon
Which can defeat you by themselves
Which can defeat them by yourselves
Have the power even to kill you
Simultaneously ,
They have the power to uplift you
Have the power even to save
You from death
promises are a dazzling Splendour
But over confidence on them
Will leave a splinter in you .

  5. Written with a lot of pain dripping from the pen. A failure of hopes does leave us at the end of a cliff at times, when the veil of mist is up, there is no where to run. Its a fool who sails towards the horizon of a distant promise and seldom looks back. But so so much joy the fool enjoys for the brief moments when he knows not that its gonna be a lie. Maybe he shall pain for rest of days, but those miments of joy ard heavenly. Sorry to make it so long. Thank you for the poetry.

    1. It may be long but it holds lots & lots of things & thoughts along with it . So don’t feel sorry for leaving lengthy comments.

      But by the course of time it will turn into mere words & then those deep emotions will burst out as tears through the eyes & the heart will be wounded & get scratched with the broken pieces of broken trust .
